Water Can Be Temperamental! Happy 4th of July :)

As you know, not all bodies of water are alike. Swimming abilities can differ between swimming pools, ocean fronts, rivers, lakes or streams and can be further impacted by environmental factors such as vegetation, animal life and currents.

We at the American Red Cross want to remind all about the need for vigilance in, on and around the water. Here are links to water safety resources from the American Red Cross and our Scientific Advisory Council including:

Water Competency: 5 Skills to Save Your Life in the Water.
Circle of Drowning Prevention,
Chain of Drowning Survival
We’ve also included links to several recent articles featuring American Red Cross Aquatics programs and safety tips below.

Before you head out to “home and away” bodies of water, review these simple steps that can keep you and yours safer throughout the busy summer season. And, please feel free to share this with others.

Again, our many thanks for all you do.

Wishing you success and safety this Summer season!

Best regards,
Your American Red Cross Aquatics Team
